I have currently been working on a seriese of large flower pots, the flower pots are different shapes and have different textures. one square one round. the square one is finished and i still need feet on the round one. I began with a slab to make a bottom, the coil built the rest from there. adding some reinforcing corners and center elements to the square one. These will be low fired with no glaze. This is to allow them to still remain pourous and allow water to absorb and release so that roots will not rot. This also keeps with the more traditional flower pots that are just red clay.
